STATE COLLEGE - The National Weather Service is tracking a winter storm that is expected to hit after midnight and continue through the rush hour on Tuesday. A winter weather advisory has been posted for midnight tonight to 1 p.m. Tuesday for a number of south central and lower Susquehanna River Valley counties, including Dauphin and Schuylkill, but not Northumberland County.
Accumulation of 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected in the advisory counties, with locally higher amounts on ridgetops. Light snow will develop over the area after midnight and continue through Tuesday morning before tapering off by mid to late morning. Snow and slush-covered roads and slipper conditions are expected. Other counties affected include Fulton, Franklin, Perry, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster.
