UPDATE: No one found, river search called off
SELINSGROVE - Rescue operations were wrapping up south of here at 3:15 p.m. as rescuers said they can find no indication of someone having fallen in the Susquehanna River.
Rescuers moved from the property of Roy Adams & Son Inc. near Fishers Ferry to a staging area at the former Pepsi bottling plant south of Selinsgrove at about 2 p.m. A hovercraft had been taken to that site after someone contacted 911 to say they saw a person walking on the ice-covered river and then lost sight of the person.
Rescuers at Fishers Ferry said they followed footprints, but had no visual of the person. They moved the staging area to Snyder County, but wrapped up soon afterward.
