Tillett 2nd at Reno

RENO, Nev. - Shamokin Area junior Wes Tillett earned a second-place finish Saturday night in the 86-team Tournament of Champions.

Tillett, who won five consecutive matches to reach the final, dropped a 4-3 decision to Travis Morgan of Stillwater, Ok., in the championship match.

He was Shamokin Area's highest finisher in the Indians' first visit ever to the prestigous tournament.

At 140 pounds, Shamokin's Brandon Pesarchick, the ninth seed, scored a decision over sixth-seededSpencer Brown of Cottonwood High School to finish seventh.

Easton finished second overall in the event, crowning one champion in Mike Hartenstine at 140 pounds.

Junior High

In the 16-team Montoursville tournament, Jordan Glosek of Shamokin Area pinned Lewistown's Caleb Roades in 2:05 to earn a championship.

Chad Lytle and Chris McCabe finished fifth, while Zack Tillett was sixth.
