Kulpmont Football/Baseball Association
Meetings, first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Baseball, softball, t-ball and teener registrations will be held on Monday, Feb 4, Tuesday, Feb. 5, Monday, Feb. 11 and Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kulpmont Borough Hall. First time players must provide a copy of their birth certificate. Registration fee will apply.
Running club, meets at 5:30 p.m. each Monday at Shamokin Area's Kemp Memorial Stadium parking lot. Open to runners of all ages. More on Facebook at coalrunnings.

Little League Registration
Any child ages four to 12 residing in the Shamokin Area or Mount Carmel Area School Districts may register to play Little League Baseball. Registration for players and coaches will be Feb. 16 and 23, 10 a.m. to noon, and Feb. 27, 7-9 p.m. at the Miller Donmoyer Family Health Center, 255 W. Spruce St., Shamokin. All players must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and any player new to the league must bring the child's original or state-certified birth certificate. Fee is $25 for the first child and $15 for each additional child in the same family. After Feb. 27, the fee is $40 for the first child and $20 for each additional child in the same family.
Locust Gap Baseball
Player registration for youths ages 4-15, Saturday, Feb. 10, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Locust Gap Fire Co. New players must provide a copy of their birth certificate. Registration fee is $30 for the first player in a family, and $15 for each sibling after that. Cost of a jersey, if needed, will be $20. All players must attend to receive fund raisers and contracts. There is a restriction of five players per age group and returning players are given preference for roster spots. For additional information, contact Tom Moser at 898-0277.

CYO Night at Lourdes
Lourdes will open its doors for free for its game against Williams Valley, Friday, Feb. 8, to all CYO players and coaches, although it asks everyone to bring one canned good or non-perishable food item for Manna for Many. There will also be 'D' Division games held. During halftime of the junior varsity game, Holy Rosary will play Mount Carmel Catholic, between the JV and varsity games, Holy Rosary will play Holy Angels, and during the varsity halftime, OLOH, Mother Cabrini and Holy Angels will take the floor. All CYO players and coaches will also receive a free drink and a hot dog. The night had been originally scheduled for Jan. 12.
Lady Bombers Girls Softball League
Final registration, Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Shamokin Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All girls, ages four to 14, from the Shamokin and Mount Carmel areas are invited to play. All new players are required to bring their birth certificate. The league will also be having an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner, Saturday, Feb. 23 at Restoration Ministries Church Hall from 3 to 7 p.m. Cost is $8 per ticket and includes salad, spaghetti with meat sauce, bread, fruit cup, baked good and drink. All girls who played last season in the Shamokin Youth Girls Basketball League will be admitted free to the Shamokin Area vs. Jersey Shore varsity girls basketball game, Feb. 1 at Shamokin Area High School.
North Schuylkill Spring Physicals
North Schuylkill Jr./Sr. High School will be conducting its spring sports physicals on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 9 a.m. Any student interested in going out for baseball, softball or track, and who has not had a physical for a fall or winter sport, must get their physical at this time. There is a $10 fee for the physical. Students who have already had a physical for a previous sport must still sign up that day for the sport of their choice.
Little Shamokin Indians
Registration, Sunday, Feb. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. at O'Brien's Pizza. Cost is $10 for one child or $15 for a family through the end of March. First-time players need to provide a copy of their birth certificate. Players ages five and up are eligible to participate. A meeting will follow the registration time. Shamokin Youth Softball
Open gym practice for youth girls softball ages eight to 14 of the Shamokin Area School District will be held at the annex gym on the following Sundays: Jan. 27, Feb. 10, Feb. 24 and March 10. Girls ages eight to 10 will meet from 4 to 5:15 p.m. and girls 11 to 14 will meet from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. All girls must attend the Shamokin Area School District.
Ed Romance Hall of Fame

Ralpho Youth Sports

Clover Hose Baseball
Registration for all new and returning players ages four to 12, Friday, Feb. 1 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Clover Hose Fire Company, Sixth and Oak streets, Mount Carmel. South Columbia Little League
Any child from South Columbia Little League areas, which includes: Catawissa, Roaring Creek Valley and Ralpho areas who have not yet registered for baseball or softball for the 2013 Little League season, please contact Gary Stine 394-2640. Initial fee is $15 per child, uniform and fundraising fees are additional. Copies of birth certificate and three proofs of residency are required.
Kulpmont K of C Free Throw Contest
All boys and girls between 10 and 14 are invited to participate in the Knights of Columbus free throw championship, Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. at Holy Angels Gym. Prizes will be awarded. For more information, contact Tony Mazzatesta at 205-6023.
Shamokin Area Spring Physicals
Will be held Friday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. Students who plan on participating in a spring sport should attend. Any student who already had a physical for a fall or winter sport should complete a recertification paper. Physicals will be done by Dr. Wayne Miller for $20 in cash, and fee must be paid at the time of the physical. Times for each sport will be on the announcements. Forms, which may be downloaded from the district website, must be completed by a parent or guardian prior to the physical. Forms may also be picked up in the high school principal's office.
Mount Carmel Junior Baseball League
Meeting, Monday, Feb. 11 at 6 p.m. in the basement social hall of the Atlas Fire Co. All teams are requested to be present. Bylaws and playing rules will be voted upon.
Ralpho Tiger Youth Basketball
Basketball tournaments, for third and fourth grades, March 8-10; and for fifth and sixth grades, March 15-17 are being organized now. Games will be played in Elysburg, and entry fee is $150. Deadline for entry is March 1. For rules and an application, contact William Wetzel at 527-0339.
Long's Teener Baseball
Registration, Saturday, Feb. 23 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Miller Donmoyer Family Health Center. New and returning players ages 13 to 15 are eligible to play. Registration for junior league and teener baseball, Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Brewsers. Cost is $20 per child. Teeners have a uniform fee of $30. Players four to 12 from Shamokin, Coal Township or Zerbe Township are eligible to play in the junior league. Players 13 to 15 are eligible to play for the teener team.
