Third annual golf tournament, Saturday, Sept. 7, at Indian Hills Golf Club. Tournament is a four-man scramble with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Cost is $65 per golfer and includes green and cart fees, longest drive and closest to the pin as well as door prizes and more. Keystone Rules Interpretation

The Keystone Chapter of PIAA football officials meeting dates for this season are Aug. 27, Sept. 3, and 17, Oct. 1, 15 and Oct. 29.

SoCo Hoops Open

The fourth annual Soco Hoops Open golf tournament will be held Saturday, Aug. 31 at Knoebels Three Ponds golf course. Mount Carmel Area Football Tickets

Tickets for the upcoming Red Tornado football season will be on sale at the high school on the following dates: August 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; August 28 from 6 to 7 p.m. Additional selling times will be scheduled by appointment by calling 339-1500 ext. 3114.

Locust Gap Fire Co. Golf Tournament

Saturday, Sept. 7, at Rolling Meadows Golf Course, Mowry, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. For more information or to make a donation, call Jack Minnig at 339-1241 or 259-4093. All proceeds benefit the fire company.

Shamokin Area Sports Passes

Shamokin Area student and adult sport passes are available in the high school principal's office. Student passes are $10, adult passes $50. Senior citizen passes are free to persons 65 and older with a valid identification. In addition, reserved football tickets are now available in the principal's office.

Mount Carmel Supper Club

The Red Tornado Supper Club will meet at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, and every Thursday evening during football season at Mattucci's. Everyone is welcome to greet head coach Carmen DeFrancesco, his staff, players and cheerleaders.

Thursday Nite Rec Bowling

Reorganization meeting, 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Coal Bowl, Logan and Tioga Streets, Coal Township. The league is a four-person team league, and anyone interested in participating should attend. Starting date is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12. Northwestern, Juvenile Court Golf Tournament

The annual Northwestern Academy and Northumberland County Juvenile Court Advisory Board Golf Tournament will be held Monday, Oct. 14, at Indian Hills Golf and Tennis Club. Elysburg Rotary 5K Run and Walk

Elysburg Rotary 5K Run and Walk will be held Monday, Sept. 2, at All Home Days Park, Elysburg. Registration 8 a.m., race 9 a.m. Cost $18 with tee-shirt, $5 for walkers without T-shirt.

North Schuylkill Sports Passes

Now on sale in high school office for 2013-14 school year. Cost for a student pass is $25 and adult is $60. Passes may be purchased weekdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. or at home athletic events. Senior citizens are eligible for a free lifetime pass, which is available at the athletic office. Senior citiizens should bring a form of identification to verify age.

Northumberland County Rec Committee

The Northumberland County Recreation Committee is taking applications for new members. Persons interested in becoming a member should visit the Northumberland County website and fill out an application, which can be dropped off at the county office. Ralpho Fall Baseball Tournament

Indian Hills Fall Festival

The two-day tournament, held over Sept. 28 and 29, will accept the first 50 two-man teams. The tournament is a 36-hole better ball of partners setup with teams being flighted into four flights after 18 holes. It will be a shotgun start both days, starting at 9 a.m. each day.
