Keystone Rules Interpretation

The Keystone Chapter of PIAA football officials meeting dates for this season are Oct. 1, 15 and Oct. 29.

Mount Carmel Supper Club

The Red Tornado Supper Club will meet at 6:15 p.m. every Thursday evening during football season at Mattucci's. Everyone is welcome to greet head coach Carmen DeFrancesco, his staff, players and cheerleaders.

Shamokin Wrestling boosters meeting

Shamokin Area Elementary and Jr./Sr. Wrestling Boosters first public meeting, Sunday, Sept. 22, 7 p.m. at the high school mat room. Anyone interested in becoming a member can sign up at the meeting for a $2 fee.

Northwestern, Juvenile Court Golf Tournament

The annual Northwestern Academy and Northumberland County Juvenile Court Advisory Board Golf Tournament will be held Monday, Oct. 14, at Indian Hills Golf and Tennis Club. Northumberland County Rec Committee

The Northumberland County Recreation Committee is taking applications for new members. Persons interested in becoming a member should visit the Northumberland County website and fill out an application, which can be dropped off at the county office. Ralpho Fall Baseball Tournament

Indian Hills Fall Festival

The two-day tournament, held Sept. 28 and 29, will accept the first 50 two-man teams. The tournament is a 36-hole better ball of partners setup with teams being flighted into four flights after 18 holes. It will be a shotgun start both days, starting at 9 a.m. each day. Each player is allowed two practice rounds between Sept. 20 and 27. Entry fee is $200 per team, although carts are not included. Contact, Don Spieller at 644-1972 or at ihgcproshop@aol.com

MCA Football Team Honored

The Ed Romance Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame will honor the 1973 team during the Selinsgrove game, Oct. 25. All players, cheerleaders and coaches from that team is invited to tailgate before and after the game. For information, call 205-0762.

SYBL Registration

Shamokin Youth Basketball League registration will be held in the lobby of the American Legion Building in downtown Shamokin from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday Oct. 5.

Cabrini wooden bat tournament

The Cabrini Baseball organization will be holding a wooden bat tournament Sept. 28-29 for teams made up of players from the ages of 13-16. Registration fee is $200.00 per team. Call Leo Mirolli for additional information at 648-0186.

OLOH Basketball Registration

Those interested in playing CYO basketball for Our Lady of Hope can register Sunday, Sept. 22, outside the church immediately following 11 a.m. Mass. Registration is $20 per player. Players must be a member of OLOH church or attend Lourdes Regional School, grades K through 6, to be eligible. Players may also register by calling Pete at 644-5218.

SCT Lady Bombers 2nd annual Fall Fest

The Shamokin/Coal Township Lady Bombers second annual Fall Fest will be Oct. 5, starting at 11 a.m. There will be a 75-foot blow-up obstasacle course and blow-up dual racing slide, hay maze, face painting, pumpkin decorating, numerous games, along with food, craft and jewelery vendors. Food will include chicken sandwhiches, homemade soups, hot dogs, and traveling tacos. There will be a basket raffle which includes prizes such as a boy's and girl's 16-inch bike, DeWalt cordless drill, 32-inch LCD TV, a DVD recorder, a Nook, a Razor Scooter, and more. On Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5 starting at dusk will be our haunted trail which was extended to be twice as long as last year. It will have many more twists and turns, with ghouls galore, the Pumpkin Nester, zombies and clowns.

Mount Carmel Spiritans CYO

Registration for basketball and cheerleading will be held Sunday, Sept. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Vine Street gym in Mount Carmel. Players, from kindergarten to sixth grade, must belong to Our Lady's or Divine Redeemer churches, attend Lourdes Regional or be enrolled in a CCD program to be eligible to play. Cost is $40.

Holy Angels CYO Basketball and Booster Association

Holy Angels Booster Association will meet, Sunday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. in the parish activity center. All parents and coaches are asked to attend.
