Meetings, first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

Mahanoy Area Biddy Basketball
Annual tournaments, April 19-21 for 3rd-4th grade girls, 5th-6th grade girls and 7th-8th grade boys. Cost is $125 for 3rd-4th grade teams, and $150 for 5th-6th and 7th-8th grade teams. Contact Robert McGee at 294-2944 for information or to register teams.
Special Olympic Swim Practice
Practices will run 6-8 p.m. at the Shamokin pool each Friday through the end of May. New athletes and volunteers are welcome. For more information, contact Arden Miller at 374-5369.
Pennsylvania District 13 Little League Umpires
Baseball and softball umpires clinic, Saturday, April 6, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Central Columbia Middle School. Registration is 8-9 a.m. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $20 per person and includes clinic materials, lunch and door prizes. Umpires should bring a mask. Practice and registration schedule. Every day at the Cabrini Youth Center Building, Cherry and Webster streets, using the following schedule: Mondays, 5:30 to 7 p.m., ages 8-10; 7 to 8:30 p.m., ages 11-12; Tuesdays, 5:30-6:45 p.m., ages 8-10; 6:45-8 p.m., ages 11-12; 8-9:30 p.m., ages 13-15; Wednesdays, 5:30-7 p.m., ages 8-10; 7-8:30 p.m., ages 11-12; Thursdays, 5:30-6:45 p.m., ages 8-10; 6:45-8 p.m., ages 11-12; 8-9:30 p.m., ages 13-15; Fridays, 5:30-6:45 p.m., ages 4-5; 6:45-8 p.m., ages 6-7. Little League Registration
Any child, ages 4-12, residing in Shamokin Area or Mount Carmel Area school districts may still register to play Little League Baseball. Registration for players and coaches is during normal business hours at the Miller Donmoyer Family Health Center, 255 W. Spruce St., Shamokin. All parents must be represented by a parent or legal guardian, and any player new to the league must bring the child's original or state certified birth certificate. Fee is $40 for the first child and $20 for each additional child in the same family.
Salvation Army Basketball Tournament
Men's and women's tournaments, ages varsity and above for both, April 19-20-21, at Shamokin Area High School, double elimination format. Entry fee is $125 per team with deadline to enter March 31. For information or to register, contact Chris Venna at 205-1144.

Lower Anthracite Teener Baseball

Shamokin-Mount Carmel Challenger Little League Baseball
Registration, any child between the ages of 4 and 21 residing in the Shamokin Area or Mount Carmel Area School Districts or surrounding areas may still register to play Challenger Little League Baseball. The fee is $25 for the first child and $15 for each additional child in the same family.
Derek Crowl Memorial Tournament
This year's tournament, the fifth, will be held April 13 and 14 at the Ralpho Township gym. There are 14 slots remaining with a maximum of 10 players allowed on each team. Cost is $10 per player up to seven players, after that the fee per team is a flat $75. There will be door prizes and the top two teams will receive a monetary prize.
