Following last week's successful Fan and Driver Appreciation Night at Selinsgrove Speedway, the track returns to action Saturday night with a four-division show on the popular "Pepsi Night."

Gates open at 5 p.m. Fans can expect many prizes and surprises throughout the night.

With racing set to begin at 7:30, a four-division show of 358 sprint cars, super late models, pro stocks and roadrunners will be in action as part of the final show for July.

Track officials recently announced advance tickets for the two-day World of Outlaws late model series-sanctioned National Open Saturday, Aug. 31, and Sunday, Sept. 1, will go on sale beginning Friday, Aug. 2. The entire covered grandstand will be reserved for this special two-day event. Season reserved seat holders will have first option to hold their seats for both nights of racing.

Following Saturday's regular program of 358 modifieds, sportsman and limited late models, the Bechtelsville oval will prepare for Tuesday's (July 30) "Thunder on the Hill" doubleheader show featuring the Race of Champions (RoC) Tour modified 60-lap feature event along with the 35-lap feature program for the 410 sprint cars.

Racing legend and National Sprint Car Hall of Fame driver Fred Rahmer, who cut his racing teeth at the popular oval early in his modified driving career, is rumored to be retiring at season's end, thus making this his last start at Grandview. Gates open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30.

In action around the area tonight, Big Diamond Speedway hosts a four-division program of 358 modifieds, sportsman and roadrunners, along with the return of the street stocks. The roadrunners will race in a special "Crazy 8s" show, consisting of four 8-lap feature events. ... Williams Grove hosts two days of racing action this weekend with the 358 sprint cars joining the show along with the 410 sprint cars tonight, while the popular "Kid's Night" will be a highlight of the Saturday Racing Series of winged super sportsman, limited late models and street stocks. ... Saturday night, both Lincoln and Port Royal Speedways pay tribute to firefighters, EMTs and other volunteers. Lincoln's schedule includes the 358 sprint cars, 410 sprint cars and thundercars, while the Port show includes 410 sprint cars, late models and 305 sprinters. ... Stock car fans can head south to the Hagerstown Speedway as the touring pros of the Lucas Oil Late Model Series invade the "Hub City" half-mile oval for the 32nd annual Conococheague 50 for the super late models.

John Anderika along with his brother, Chuck, of Wyoming, Pa., have campaigned various types of drag racing vehicles throughout their years in the sport, and they have been competing in the very competitive Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Top Alcohol Funny Car class most recently. They have tested and raced for many years at Numidia Dragway and their dedication has been undying. Last weekend, after being the runner-up 11 times, including four this season, John drove to his first TA/FC crown in his East Coast AutoElectric Chevy, by defeating the perennial king of the TA/FC wars, 15-time champion, Frank Manzo at the New England Dragway in Epping, N.H. ... The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series hits the second of three stops on the Western Swing, as it visits Sonoma (Cal.) Raceway for the 26th annual Sonoma Nationals, the 15th of 24 events on the 2013 slate.

Following last week's MOPAR Mile High Nationals wins, Spencer Massey (Top Fuel), Cruz Pedregon (Funny Car), Allen Johnson (Pro Stock) and Shawn Gann (P/S Bike) will be looking to continue their success on the grueling swing. ESPN2 will provide qualifying action Saturday at 7 p.m. and three hours of eliminations on Sunday at 8 p.m.
