MINERSVILLE - Jake Damiter pitched five scoreless innings and went 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs, leading North Schuylkill to its fourth straight championship at the Russ Rothermel Invitational with a 5-2 victory over Shenandoah Valley on Saturday.

Bobby Grigas scored three runs and Dan Demansky had two RBIs for the Spartans.

MINERSVILLE - Danny Lesko hit a game-tying three-run homer and Jayson Stellar contributed three hits as the Red Tornadoes beat the Miners in the consolation game of the Russ Rothermel Tournament.

Chad Purcell had three hits, including an RBI single in the second inning, as Minersville took an early 4-1 lead.

Lesko's homer tied it, and Jacob Jones added an RBI groundout in Mount Carmel's four-run third. The Red Tornadoes added five runs over the middle innings to pull away.
