CATAWISSA R.R. - Kayla Lavella scored a game-high 24 points and the Southern Columbia girls opened successfully in their new gymnasium with a 63-32 Heartland Conference victory over Montgomery Wednesday night.

Mackenzie Clark followed Lavella with 14 points for the Tigers (2-0), who were in complete control after taking a 31-12 lead at the half.

SUNBURY - Alexis Angstadt scored 24 points to lead the Braves, who pulled away with a 14-0 advantage in the third quarter.

For Line Mountain, Jade London was the scoring leader with 12 points. Sarah Lahr added 10 for

the Eagles (1-3).

Boys Basketball Bloomsburg 74 Shamokin 54

BLOOMSBURG - Zach Mrozek poured in 25 points, leading Bloomsburg to the non-league victory over the Indians.

He was one of four Panthers to score in double figures.

For Shamokin (1-2), Dan Delbaugh led the way with 15 points, followed by Austin Stine and Kevin Carsto with 14 apiece.
