SELINSGROVE - Pat Cannon took the lead from Daryn Pittman with two laps to go to apparently win the Selinsgrove Speedway National Open and $8,000 Saturday night.

Cannon, however, came up light at the scales, and track officials awarded the win to Pittman. Davie Franek, Aaron Ott and Blane Heimbach followed.

Jason Shultz of Carlisle set fast time over the 48-car field with a lap of 17.800. Pat Cannon was second quick ahead of regular 410 sprint drivers Mark Smith, Daryn Pittman, Stevie Smith and Aaron Ott.

Nate Snyder, Derek Locke, Pat Cannon, Stevie Smith and Phil Walter won the eight-lap heat races. Logan Schuchart won the C-main and Kevin Nouse won the B-main.

Colby Womer was leading the first heat race when he broke with less than one lap remaining. The same thing happened to Larry Kelleher, who was leading the second heat. Womer would make the feature as a provisional. He was the highest driver in Selinsgrove points not making the field.
