Wrestling Lansberry 2nd in tourney

NEW OXFORD - Seth Lansberry was second at 138 pounds to lead a group of four Line Mountain wrestlers who placed at the New Oxford Invitational.

Cameron Newman (113) and Erik Smeltz (170) each finished third, and Brendan Renn (160) was eighth.

Lansberry was 3-1 and lost the final to Hanover's Ian Brown, 3-1.

Newman dropped a semifinal match to second-seeded Kenny Yanovich of Pleasant Valley 7-1, but won the third-place bout by forfeit.

Smeltz lost to Northeastern's Nick Yeager by pin in the semifinals, then took a 4-2 decision over Central Dauphin East's Austin Trephan for third. Renn dropped a 6-4 decision to Pleasant Valley's Jalil Aldridge in the seventh-place bout.

The Eagles finished 11th in the 22-team field with 74.5 points. Mechanicsburg and South Western tied for the team title with 132.5 points each.
