Lourdes erased a halftime deficit and used aggressive rebounding and some hot perimeter shooting in the middle quarters to finish off a 51-45 victory over Nativity in a Schuylkill League Division II-III crossover contest Thursday night.

The Red Raiders (13-2, 6-2 D-I) benefitted from 11 turnovers by Nativity in the third quarter to turn a 28-24 halftime deficit into a 43-36 edge to start the fourth quarter.

Things looked promising for Nativity over the first 13 minutes of play as the Golden Girls used a 14-0 run spanning the first and second quarters to build a 25-15 edge with 2:26 left in the first half.

The Red Raiders surged back, jump-started by a three-point play from Komara off a steal with 1:47 left in the first half.

Getchey then knocked home back-to-back 3-pointers to pull Lourdes within 28-24 before the break.

Lourdes' surge continued in the third quarter as Komara finished another steal and layup, Rachel Schultz hit a jumper and Komara and Getchey knocked down triples for a 34-31 lead. The Red Raiders scored 14 points off turnovers in the third.

Komara finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Schultz and Getchey each had 14 for the Red Raiders.

Three straight buckets to end the quarter, including a 3-pointer from Bailey Trell at the buzzer gave Lourdes a 43-37 lead entering the fourth.

The Red Raiders, who have won seven straight, used their experience and depth to fend off the Golden Girls' charge.
