WILLIAMSON - Miranda Moyer had 21 assists and Amie Snyder 15 service points to lead Lourdes Regional's volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-14, 25-18, 21-25, 25-22) win over Wyalusing Saturday in the District Four Class A volleyball quarterfinals at Williamson High School.

Lourdes (16-5) will play top-seeded Mansfield (16-2) Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Williamson in the semifinals.

"We've never made it this far before. It feels relieving," said Moyer. "I think we can win it."

"Our team worked very hard for this," said Lourdes' Carissa Zimmerman. "If we play like we know how, we can win a district championship. We have to keep up what we did the first two games and not let them get back in."

In addition to Moyer and Snyder, Veronica Yoder had nine kills for the Red Raiders, Adriana Brooks 20 digs and Molly Loftus 14 kills.

Earlier at Williamson, Shamokin was eliminated by Towanda, 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-17) in the Class AA semifinals.

"Towanda's a good team, but they had a 6-2 boy playing for them, too," said Shamokin coach Wanda Cook. "Defensively, we actually played pretty well, but they're a good team, even without a boy playing for them."

For the Indians, who finished the season 11-5, Emily Linkoski had 10 kills, Emily Witt 33 assists and Carly Dabulis 16 digs.

Towanda improved to 12-4.
