Local gymnasts place in meet

Three local members of Gym Starz Gymnastics Level 4 team competed in Baltimore at the Christmas on the Chesapeake Meet, Dec. 15, and earned top finishes.

Claudia Morris of Mount Carmel placed first in floor exercise with a 9.5, seventh on balance beam and finished eighth overall.

Kyra Stickler of Kulpmont placed first on bars, third in floor exercise and eighth in vault, finishing fourth all-around.

Meghan Canfield of Ashland placed sixth on beam and eighth on bars, finishing ninth all-around.
