NORMAN, Okla. - Mount Carmel Area graduate Eric Lapotsky of the 12th-ranked University of Oklahoma wrestling team has been chosen as the Big 12 Conference's Wrestler of the Month for November. The 197-pounder is a perfect 8-0 this season with six pins, including three in dual meets.

This was the first career conference honor for the senior.

"This is a very worthy choice," head coach Jack Spates said. "Eric is an inspiring wrestler who shakes hands with his opponent and then immediately looks for the pin. He means a lot to our team and we are very proud of him."

Lapotsky is well on his way to bettering his team-high 11 falls last season.

Lapotsky has also been impressive in tournament action this season by capturing the title at the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic on Nov. 11 after a 4-0 record.
