Donnie Kreitz came from the 14th starting spot to win the final 20-lap sprint-car feature as part of the Jack Gunn Memorial triple 20s at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night.

Kreitz's 54th career Williams Grove win was worth $5,000. It was his first win of the season.

The veteran from Sinking Spring used the inside line of the speedway to come through the field and take the lead from Steve Buckwalter on lap 12.

Kreitz won four straight Grove track championships from 1990-1993 and his skill on the bottom of the racetrack led to many of those titles and wins.

Kreitz did not score a top 10 finish in the previous two features.

Buckwalter, one of the East's top midget drivers, finished second ahead of Mark Smith, Stevie Smith and Danny Dietrich.

In the first 20-lap feature, Daryn Pittman took the lead from Rick Lafferty and drove off to his third Grove win of the season. S. Smith, M. Smith, Dietrich and Tyler Walker followed Pittman.

Walker, who drove from mid-pack to fifth in the first race, took the lead on lap two and went on to win the second 20-lap main event. It was his second career Grove win and second in two weeks.

Aaron Ott was second and Buckwalter, Chad Layton and M. Smith completed the top five.

Mike Loney won the Coalcracker 50 for sportsman modifieds at Big Diamond Raceway on Friday night. He defeated Sammy Piazza, Ray Woodall Jr., Erik Holgren and Joey Funk. John Willman won the non-winners race for 358 modifieds. Ricky Bender won the roadrunner feature.

On Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway, veteran Hall of Famer Keith Kauffman was back in victory lane for the 128th time in his career at the Juniata County oval. Todd Shaffer, Greg Hodnett, Layton and Walker followed.

Layton also clinched his first career 410 sprint track championship. Layton drives for Dave Middleswarth, owner of Middleswarth Chips, in Middleburg.

Brian Montieth won the sprint-car feature at Lincoln Speedway. His fourth win of the season clinched his third straight track championship. He took the lead from teenager Derek Sell on lap 11 and was never challenged over the final 14 laps. It was his 20th career win at Lincoln.

Duaine Smith won the super sportsman feature and Travis Beaver won the 358 late model feature after starting 16th.

Larry Baer won the 358 late model feature at Susquehanna Speedway Park.
