MOUNT CARMEL - Mount Carmel Area senior Eric Joraskie, a first-team Class AA All-State selection and The News-Item 2013 All-Area Defensive Player of the Year, earned another honor Saturday when he was named one of 34 players selected to the Pennsylvania team for the 56th Big 33 Football Classic.

The game, which will be played against a similar team representing Maryland this year, will be played June 15 at 7:06 p.m. at Hersheypark Stadium.

Joraskie, who has committed to Northwestern University is the only player from District 4 selected to the team.

The 6-4, 265-pound senior, who was Defensive Player of the Year on The News-Item's All-Area team, had 71 tackles, 5.5 sacks and 12 quarterback hurries as the Red Tornadoes posted an 8-5 record.

He also lined up at different times as a tight end, fullback and offensive tackle.

Six teams have two players on the roster. Tight end Nick Arcidiacono and offensive lineman George Griffin of Archbishop Wood, wide receiver Tyler Boyd and defensive back Titus Howard of Clairton, outside linebacker Chris Britton and defensive lineman Brian Carter of

Harrisburg, running back Forrest Barnes and offensive lineman Dean Ketterer of Seneca Valley, quarterback Damion Terry and strong safety Delton Williams of Erie Cathedral Prep, and defensive back Najee Goode and running back David Williams of Imhotep Charter are on the team.

North Alleghany's Art Walker is head coach of the team.
