MIKE STAUGAITIS/Staff Photo New York Giant Henry Hynoski receives a key to New York City at the celebration for the Giants Super Bowl victory as seen on television.

Henry Hynoski got considerable air time during Tuesday's television coverage of the ticker-tape parade for the Super Bowl champion New York Giants' down the "Caynon of Heroes" in New York City.

Hynoski, a rookie fullback who was signed by the Giants in late July and found himself winning pro football's biggest prize just over six months later, was on a float with fellow backs Brandon Jacobs, Ahmad Bradshaw and other players.

He had a wide smile as he waved to the crowd and occasionally saluted his team's No. 1 status with his finger in the air. At one point, he picked up a football thrown onto the float from someone in the crowd, autographed it, then tossed it back to the fan.

When players were introduced in a ceremony that followed at City Hall, the emcee said, "And how about this rookie?" in introducing Hynoski.

The Elysburg resident and 2007 Southern Columbia High School graduate caught two passes for 19 yards - both for first downs - recovered a fumble and did what numerous experts have said was a great job as a lead blocker in the Giants 21-17 win over New England Sunday in Indianapolis.
