H.S. SPORTS: Shamokin softball defeats Shikellamy
SUNBURY - Natalie Wolfe belted five hits, driving home three runs to lead Shamokin Area to a 17-2 Heartland I softball victory over Shikellamy on Wednesday.
Wolfe had a triple, double and three singles to lead the Indians (6-3, 5-3 PHAC). Ripping three hits apiece for Shamokin were Jenny Hornberger, Olivia Bonshock and Kelsey Forbes. Forbes and Bonshock drove in three runs each. Hornberger knocked home two.
Carley Nash worked a complete game to earn the victory. She struck out six, walked only two and scattered four singles.
Line Mountain 16 Greenwood 1
MANDATA - Maddie Reed fired a four-inning one-hitter and Joelle Snyder belted four hits, driving in two runs, to lead Line Mountain past Greenwood 16-1 in Tri-Valley League softball action Wednesday.
Snyder numbered two doubles among her hits. Brooke Long added a double for the Eagles (5-3), while Jayci London contributed three singles and Myah King, Kiana Lukoskie and Deidre Long helped out with two singles each.

TOWER CITY - Cassidy Pinchorski was 3-for-3 and mowed through the Red Raiders lineup with a three-inning no-hitter in the Vikings' Division II rout.
Pinchorski had a double, triple and drove in two runs. In the circle, Pinchorski walked Peyton Klembara to start the game and then struck out nine straight Lourdes' hitters.
Hannah Nestor and Maura Kreiser also blasted home runs for the Vikings. Nestor's was a solo shot to lead off the bottom of the first, while Kreiser had a three-run
homer in the second. She also drove in four runs.

MANDATA - Cory Warford and John Yerger teamed up on a five-inning no-hitter with Warford picking up his third victory of the season against no defeats.
J.P. Lenker paced the Eagles (8-1, 6-0 TVL) offensively with a pair of singles and three runs batted in. Colton Gaw and Cody Romanoskie contributed two singles each to the 10-hit attack.
