MANDATA - A pair of Line Mountain linemen made their college choices last week and may end up butting heads because of it.

Seniors Alex Karlovich and Luke Erdman decided on schools in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

Karlovich, an all-state selection at offensive tackle this season, selected Bloomsburg University. He is a son of Ken and Melissa Erdman of West Cameron Township and plans on majoring in nursing.

He was the 2011 Twin Valley Conference Lineman of the Year, and first team all-conference on the offensive and defensive lines. Additionally, Karlovich was named a captain and was picked up considerable mentions from several other publications.

Erdman, who garnered multiple Twin Valley League awards and started a school record 48 straight games, committed to Lock Haven University. He is a son of Wayne and Mary Erdman of West Cameron Township and plans on majoring in criminal justice. Like his teammate, Erdman was also a captain for his senior season.

Both players were on The News-Item All-Area football team in 2010 and 2011.
