ANNVILLE - Lebanon Valley College's Cynthia Adams, a Southern Columbia graduate, has been named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Women's Track and Field/Cross Country Academic All-America third team, capping an outstanding school year that saw her earn All-American honors as well.

Adams is Lebanon Valley's second Academic All-American this year, joining basketball player Danny Brooks, is the 16th in school history and the first for women's track/cross country.

A physical therapy major from Elysburg, Adams has a 3.76 grade-point average. She won her third consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference outdoor 800-meter title and added a 1500-meter gold as well. She placed 11th in the NCAA Division III 800. She also won the MAC 800 indoor title and anchored the winning distance medley relay, helping Lebanon Valley win the team title. She was sixth in the NCAA Division III indoor 800. She was also named All-MAC in cross country for the second time.
