13 local players selected for District Four All-Star game
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT - Thirteen area players have been selected to play for the South All-Stars in the annual South Williamsport Lions Club District Four All-Star Football game Friday, June 25, at Rodney Morgans Stadium.
Area players selected include Mount Carmel's Justin Pellowski, Ahmad Abuomar, and T.J. Heromin; Line Mountain's Chris Moore and Tyler Klinger; Southern Columbia's Brad Witcoskie, Ian Van Wieren and John Lamb; Lourdes Regional's Michael Wasko, Michael Bastian and Matt Gilger; and Shamokin Area's Tim Shuey and Tim Bousson.
Pellowski was selected at running back, Abuomar at offensive guard and Heromin as a kicker; Moore was picked at fullback and Klinger at cornerback; Witcoskie and Van Wieren as offensive linemen and Lamb at defensive tackle; Wasko as an offensive lineman and Bastian and Gilger as defensive backs; and Shuey as a defensive tackle and Bousson as a defensive back.
Lewisburg's Todd West will coach the South team, assisted by Rick Lund, Jim Ermert, Steve Bieber, Todd Tilford and Shan Dodge, all of Lewisburg; and Derck Hicks, Selinsgrove.
