MOUNT CARMEL - Mount Carmel Area cross country runner Mikael Hause will join teammate Chris Monahan in competing at Saturday's PIAA state cross country championships in Hershey after another district qualifier dropped out.

Hause finished 15th at last week's district meet, one spot behind Monahan, who was the final individual qualifier. Pat Hewitt, District Four cross country chairman, notified Mount Carmel that one of the other qualifiers dropped out, making Hause eligible.

Hause is a sophomore at Lourdes Regional who competes with Mount Carmel through the schools' cooperative agreement.
