Krankoski named all-state

Southern Columbia junior Elise Krankoski earned a selection to the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association all-state team thanks to an excellent individual season which included 15 goals for the Tigers and a first-team Heartland Conference Division III selection as a forward.

Joining Krankoski on the first team from the Tigers, which won Division III and finished the season 14-5-1, are Megan Phillips and Michelle Roberts, both midfielders, and Emily Yoder on defense.

Forward Jordan Marks and defenseman Samantha Fraley were named to the second team on the HAC all-star team.

Other first teamers were forwards: Bloomsburg's Brittany Karpinski, Millville's Lauren Sullivan and Muncy's Mackensie Ruby; midfielders: Bloomsburg's Morgan McCann and Muncy's Marissa Rojas; defenders: Montgomery's Casey Drick, Muncy's Halley Campbell and Bloomsburg's Rachel Flagg.

The coach of the year was Millville's Rachel Verstraeten.
