SHAMOKIN — Eight students from Shamokin Area Elementary School visited The News-Item on Tuesday morning to learn about how the newspaper is created.
The students were accompanied by their teachers, Courtney Schiccatano and Kathy Kufta.
They learned about circulation, advertising and the news operations and how important computers are to producing the newspaper.
