Senior Appreciation Day at Lourdes

Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School student Victoria Rawa checks a bingo card
during Senior Appreciation Day at the school. Approximately 65 senior citizens
attended the annual event hosted by Respect Life Club and the Girls Action
League. The program began with a rosary prayer service, followed by a reception
and bingo. Helping with the event were Respect Life Club officers Colleen
Kerber, Victoria Kramer, Karissa Landau, Kaitlyn Rothermel, Jared Shutt and
Emily Stewart, and Girls Action League officers Adriana Brokus, Maria Getchey,
Amie Snyder, Michelle Albert and Tesia Laskoski.

1-vehicle crash SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - A Winfield woman escaped injury after losing control of her car on Route 61 just south of Holly Road Saturday, according to state police at Stonington. Dahnya N. Heim, 32, was heading north on Route 61 around 4:44 p.m.
