Rockin’ the haunted house

Local rock band Hedwig played a show at the Elysburg Haunted House on Halloween
night. The haunted house is held every year to raise money for the Elysburg Fire
Company. Hedwig lent its talent to entertain those waiting to enter the house. Band
members are, drummer Dave Bendas, of Ranshaw; bassist Geoff Sienkewicz, of Coal
Township; guitarist Jake Schmoyer, of Mount Carmel, and lead singer Jim Depeal, of
Shamokin. Hedwig has been playing locally for nearly two years. This was their
fourth charity event. Hedwig is available to play for future charity events. For more
