INSURE: House Bill 1251 would give senior citizens an appeal avenue if an insurance company denies their claim for long-term insurance. The House approved the measure 196-0 and sent it to the Senate. A yes vote supported the bill.

PHARMACY: House Bill 528 would require pharmacy technicians who fill prescriptions to register with the state Board of Pharmacy and obtain certification from a nationally recognized agency. The House approved the measure 159-33 and sent it to the Senate.

Voting yes: Reps. Baker, Boback, Carroll, Eachus, Goodman, Knowles, Major, McCall, Mundy, Pashinski, Peifer, Phillips, Pickett, Scavello, Seip, Siptroth, Smith, Staback, Wansacz, Yudichak.

Did not vote: Reps. Belfanti and Murphy.

ABUSE: Senate Bill 260 would give the state attorney general more authority to prosecute sex offenders.

The Senate approved the measure 49-0 and sent it to the House. A yes vote supported the bill.
