To the Editor:We would like to thank the Pottsville Republican and The News-Item for the publicity they provided for the Rob Krick Cruise. The cruise was held in Girardville Saturday, Oct. 12. One hundred vehicles came from all over Schuylkill and Northumberland counties, Sugarloaf, Hazleton, Freeland, Weatherly, Mountain Top, Bloomsburg and Catawissa.

The money raised was donated to the Rob Krick Heart Fund.

A special thanks to the following businesses for their generous contributions: Bob Burns Coal Co., Kull/Heinzenroth Funeral Home, Tony's Lunch, Hillshire Farms Company Inc., Boyer's Food market, Girardville Beverage, Ralph and Jeanette Todd, John Squired, Centiole's Pizza, AMC Enterprises, Girardville Little League and Screener's Inc. and Patternson Hardscape Supply. The above businesses and organizations provided the funds for the awards given to the cruisers and food donations prepared by the Girardville Senior Citizens along with cruise shirts.

The cruise was the idea of Charlie Marquardt, council president. He called me to see if the Kulpmont Cruise Association could help organize and stage the cruise. My core group of Patty and Rich Mychak, Carl Starkoski, Joe Klokis and Gary Hixson did a great job of making the cruise a success.

Hats off to the following groups and individuals for their help: Girardville Little Helpers, Girardville fire police, borough workers, Mary Ambrose, Missy Olanich, Shannon Brennan, Dean Hess, Bill Loftas, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Kramer and the borough council and police.

It is heartwarming to witness how our area people come together to help one of their own.

Joe Cesari, president
