Al Santor recalled as 'wonderful man'
To the editor: I would like to thank God for having the privilege of knowing, respecting, admiring and loving such a dedicated and wonderful man, Mr. Albert Santor.
His devotion to Coal Township was remarkable, and deserves proper recognition, which I'm confident he will get.
He was absolutely one of a kind, with a heart larger than the area he served. His sense of humor, even through his toughest battle, was definitely a testament to his true character.
I also serve the public (at a much lower level) and I can honestly say I never, ever heard anything but praise for Al.
I'm certain I speak for all of us at Maurer's Ice Cream Shoppe when I say Al was always a very dear friend, especially nurturing the young kids in the afternoon and humoring the "ole ladies" of the dayshift. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Your wish was granted, my friend, you got to the beach.
God be with you always.
Sincerely
Ginny Wisgo
