Business as usual

As usual, Congress is going to do what the terrorist want them to do. Hold hearings instead of getting something done.

Slow down

Gas prices are high and everybody wants to save money on gas. Drive the speed limit and you will be surprised with the results.

Creamed

A sad day. No more Twinkies and Hostess goodies. Union greed has put another business out of business.

Get after them

If Congress really wants to save money for the American people, they should get after the corporations that have their home offices in foreign countries and don't pay any taxes here in the United States.

Fixer upper

The 47 percent spoke and the result is the same. You can't fix stupid.

Getting paid

I think people are paid to do a good job. They shouldn't be getting a bonus for doing an extra special job.

Victim of change

Man, through no fault of his own, may be the victim of circumstance.

Going postal

What happened to the postal system? When you get your mail at 5:30 at night, you don't need new mailmen, you need new management. I dare you to put that in the paper.

Starting up

Some time ago, a Sound Off caller was concerned as to how the health care system could provide services to 30 million uninsured under Obamacare. Well, across the country, grants are being award to educate providers, similar to the recent grant received by Bloomsburg University to train 54 nurse practitioners for our rural counties. This is the start of how it will be accomplished.

Texas tea

If Texas were to secede from the union and had to start paying taxes, I guarantee you they would do something the federal government is incapable of doing: Staying within budget.

Bless this mess

Obama has successfully convinced the majority of the American people that by taxing the rich we can get out of this financial mess. The fact is that even if you confiscated all of the wealth from the top 5 percent of the people in this country, it wouldn't even put a dent in the financial mess this spendthrift has created.
