Shame on me
I want my vote back. Lamont Masser campaigned for lowering taxes in the Line Mountain School District and the first time he has to vote against raising them, he votes yes. Shame on me.
First game
I am calling in regards to the guy that got to go to his first Phillies game. I think that was great that he finally got to go to his first game, especially for as ill as he is.
Influx of bums
I am very disappointed that not one of the local candidates for state representative have addressed one of the biggest problems this area now faces: the large influx of bums and drug dealers who are moving into our towns.
No coercion
I, along with two other people, went around with that petition on Shamokin Street. No one was coerced into signing anything. The people who signed were eager to do so; many of them are waiting on us to come. This situation is getting ugly and definitely out of hand.
No pressure
Regarding the people that took the petition around on Shamokin Street. I do know those women and they were very polite and courteous when they went to the homes. They did not pressure anyone to sign.
It's the law
It is the law in Pennsylvania: when the windshield wipers go on the head lights go on.
Make an offer
I read the article in the paper that the reason the pool closes so early in the season is because the lifeguards go back to college. How about placing an ad in the paper for moms and dads who are former lifeguards and now have children who are school-aged? Make them an offer they can't refuse. They bring their children to work with them, so they can enjoy the pool while their parents work. Where does Knoebels get their lifeguards who work right through Labor Day weekend?
Centralia trouble
This is response to "Leave them alone." I don't think it is a good idea that they actually do let the people stay in Centralia. I don't think it would look good if their homes caved in from the mine fire; then people would be complaining that the government didn't do anything.
