Signs of spring

Isn't it exciting to know spring is just around the corner? Some signs so far are the many flocks of geese, the little birds chirping early in the morning, and out of hibernation for this year is the City "Dirt Spreader" (aka street sweeper). I see the lovely muddy, swirls and dirt piles left behind by this good-for-nothing, waste of money. Happy spring!

Do not pass

Obamacare is about government versus the people. It is about achieving that tipping point from a free market economy to a socialized one and from constitutional self-governance to something far less democratic. It must not pass. Call Carney and let his office know how you feel. It's a local call.

Never learn

Why is it that day after day, every day, there are idiots in the paper for DUI? That's driving after you've been drinking for those who don't understand and need explaining. One day it will be DOA instead. Hopefully, you and not the innocent other guy. Will you never learn?

Politically motivated

The firing of Joseph Bass and Marian Muldowney was politically motivated. Why else would they do it three weeks before the election? They could have waited until the council reorganization meeting and not reappoint them. But I guess they weren't sure if they would win and needed the dirty work done. It has already been decided they deserved unemployment benefits. How much more money are they going to throw out on a mistake that should not have happened in the first place?

Friendly folks

I'd like to thank the wonderful people who manage the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Independence Street. They are friendly, accommodating and cheerful every time you shop there.

Dumpster diving

There are four Dumpsters on the streets in Mount Carmel for months and months. Mount Carmel has an ordinance that these Dumpsters have to be picked up within 70 days. Why are they still on the street after 70 days?

Keep it clean

People in Mount Carmel, if you are going to walk your dogs, at least clean up their messes. I know it is getting nice out, but let's keep it clean.

Tiger envy

I bet a lot of guys wish they could have been Tiger Woods. All those beautiful women and then he comes home to a beautiful wife. Wow! She shouldn't take him back. She is nuts if she does.

All year foul

I just wanted to say that the geese have been flying all winter and the winter robins have been out, too.

Parasites

Vinny, as far as I am concerned, I would vote for you any time. You are strictly for the taxpayers and are watching every dollar of my tax money. The only people that complain are the parasites.
