Take the bet

Frog, this is for you: If that guy still wants to bet you, take the bet. I will cover for you. Just give me a message in the paper.

Going nowhere

Hey, Reno. How about those Packers? Let's go Pack! Whoo! Frog's take: Cowboys aren't going anywhere this year except for their usual quick exit from the playoffs, if they happen to make it.

Pep rallies needed

I am an avid Shamokin fan and go to every game, win or lose, rain or shine. I love the new field and the new scoreboard. We have the nicest sports complex in the area, and that's something to be proud of. When I went to school, we had a pep rally every Friday, not just one a year. The whole school was in the gym, led by the cheerleaders, cheering to see who was the loudest to win the spirit stick. So let's show some support for our team. Let's bring back the pep rallies every Friday, not just one time a year, and run a bus for away games to support the team. I believe this will have a positive impact on our players and their performance.

Diversification

So now Obama and his fellow idiots are going to have a trial in New York for the self-confessed perpetrators of the 9/11/01 terrorist act. I'm sure they will also insist that at least one radical Muslim be placed on the jury so that we have complete diversification, and that the prosecutors do not offend these criminals by insulting them in any way.

One too many

Methinks that some of you people that call in to "Sound Off" just to take a little "pot shot" at teachers must have taken one too many paddlings when you went to school. Ha, ha.

Philly fans

Frog, I am not speaking for all the Eagles or Philadelphia fans, but we have come to expect losses. It is part of being a Philadelphia fan. But all I want to say is hey, Reno, how about those Cowboys?

Ridiculous

Can somebody explain how the city is paying $19,000 a year per employee for a family plan for insurance? This is ridiculous.

Times three

The three best ways to fight energy hikes is says in the paper: "Conserve, conserve and conserve." Duh. What do you think John Q. Public has been doing constantly? The same thing with gas. Gas prices go up, you take the weight out of your truck and fill you tires with air while we take it up the wazoo from these energy companies.
