I think it is wonderful that the King Coal Bus Company took the veterans to Washington. It was very pleasant to read something good in the paper at a time when there are not many happy things to read in our local paper. Thank you King Coal, and thank you News-Item for printing it.

Yo, this is the troll watcher at Wal-Mart. I am having a good time with this, and I knew it was going to open a can of worms, but it is a lot of fun. Yes, maybe a lot of these trolls are overweight because they have health problems, but then why do they wear filthy, dirty men's clothes and walk around looking like male hobos? Frog's take: What good is Sound Off if you can't open a can of worms once in a while?

I was just wondering what the financial agreement was between the Shamokin Youth Basketball League and the Mount Carmel Area School District for use of the Mount Carmel gym?
Party politics
Frog, I apologize for the rudeness of the person regarding "Open game." It shouldn't matter if you are a Republican or Democrat, but the Democrats certainly control the mainstream media, and had a love affair with Obama and respected his wishes to keep his family off limits during the campaign while they demoralized Palin's family - and that was OK. Everything they say or do is fair game while Obama is leading our country right into a cesspool. Once again, I apologize for the rudeness of that person, and I thank you for all the work that you do. I certainly agree with your opinions, and it doesn't matter if you are a Democrat or a Republican. It should be what is right; not the party of your choice. Frog's take: Thanks for your support.
