Bush roads

I just spent a weekend riding around the bush roads in the mountains above Mount Carmel and those roads are absolutely in better shape than the streets in Mount Carmel.

Long good-byes

I have an idea for all the cigarette smokers out there. Why don't they go onto their porch and kill themselves? Oh, wait. They are already doing that. Too bad it is taking so long.

King missile

I am calling about the "fire in the sky," the light that the person saw. We saw it, too. We were in the Dalmatia area at the time. Apparently it was a missile that the government launched off an island off the coast of Virginia. It was on the news.

We are not alone

This is response to "fire in the sky." I know somebody who was in Kulpmont and he also saw the light in the sky. Just so that person knows, he was not the only one.

Even worse

I just have to laugh about the bad roads in Mount Carmel. My husband and I are from the Wilkes-Barre area, and the roads there are enough to put holes in your tires or have them come off your vehicle altogether. We marvel at how great the roads are in this area. It is pretty funny. To that person who thinks the roads stink in Mount Carmel, drive around Wilkes-Barre for a day and then see if you are still complaining.

For the winter

This morning at 5 o'clock there was a big flock of geese flying. Winter is on its way.

Tuesday's gone

Good morning, Frog. Could you or anybody else tell me what happened to Tuesday Tunes on Independence Street? They haven't been open in months. Just curious.

Doers

I just want to say thank you to George Zarick Contracting for erecting that playground down in Tharptown. I think that it is great that local contractors are doing this. This is more of what we need in the community - to be doers instead of sitting back and waiting for everyone else to do it.

Toxic news

Fox News. It's 11:53 (a.m.) Friday. Developing: "Investigation finds toxins in school drinking water." Boy, that's a big surprise. Have you ever tasted some of the water that comes out of those fountains? It's pretty logical that toxins would come out of it. I don't understand it; in college, it always tasted well. I don't understand why the ones in school were always warm.

Broken promise

As a Democrat, it is astounding to me that an amendment was defeated that would allow the Congress and the public to see the new health-care bill for three days before it becomes law. Candidate Obama promised all bills would be available on the Internet for three days, but he has failed to keep his word.

I know many people do not like Vinny Clausi, but we wanted people who would do good things. Now that we have that, people still complain.Maybe they should run for offices & see what it's like.Recently,i was having a problem, which Vinny was able to take care of.It took me 2 months of asking for help to resolve the issue, but only 5mins.for Vinny.I want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you, without your help,I know we'd still be struggling to get an answer.Don't be so quick to judge until you've walked in someone elses shoes.
