Students of month named at SAHS

COAL TOWNSHIP - Eleventh-grade student Rebecca Rummel and eighth-grade student Kaitlyn Schrader have been selected as Students of the Month for December at Shamokin Area Middle/High School.
Rebecca is a daughter of William and Deborah Rummel, of Shamokin. An honor roll student, her activities include orchestra ensemble, art club and National Honor Society. Her hobbies include playing cello, drawing and reading.
Kaitlyn is a daughter of Marie and Henry Schrader, of Coal Township. A distinguished honor roll student, she was the first-place winner in the fifth grade science fair and is first chair in band for trumpet. Her activities include Indian Pride, Spanish club, and middle school chorus. Her hobbies include playing trumpet and viola, youth league, reading, and junior high softball.
