Woman, 90, perishes in crash of car driven by husband, 95
PERRY TOWNSHIP - A 90-year-old Richfield woman died Friday from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Route 104 and Heister Valley Road in this Snyder County township.
State police at Selinsgrove reported Erma Brugger, a passenger in a 2009 Chevrolet Impala operated by Rudolph Brugger, 95, of Richfield, reportedly died at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville after being injured in the 12:17 p.m. accident. She was initially transported to Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg.
Rudolph Brugger and the driver of a 2011 Ford Fiesta, Krista Marie Culp, 21, of Beavertown, also were injured and transported to Evangelical Community Hospital. Mr. Brugger was later transferred to Geisinger, while Culp was discharged from Evangelical Community Hospital, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Police reported Brugger was pulling onto Route 104 from a stop sign at Heister Valley Road when Culp's car struck the front left section of the Impala with its front right.
