Three-vehicle crash closes Route 147

UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington reported the northbound and southbound lanes of Route 147 just south of Sunbury to Brush Valley Road in this Northumberland County township is expected to be closed for several hours due to a three-vehicle accident that occurred at about 4 p.m. today. Eight of nine people involved were injured in the crash, and two were flown by LifeFlight to Geisinger Medical Center. Check www.newsitem.com for regular updates on the crash and road closing.
