SUV crashes into Mount Carmel business
MOUNT CARMEL - Police said a man who crashed a vehicle into a downtown building at 3:45 p.m. Friday may have been suffering from a medical condition.
Witnesses said the man, Vincent Ulceski Jr., 60, of Mount Carmel, may have been attempting to make a right turn onto South Oak Street from West Third Street when he drove his silver Mitsubishi SUV into the glass display windows of 6 S. Oak St., the office of Dr. Robert Thurick, next to O.I.P.
The man was taken from the scene by ambulance to be treated for both the unknown medical condition and potential injuries from the accident, said Cpl. Dave Donkochik of Mount Carmel police. The glass at 6 S. Oak St. was smashed, but no other structural damage was reported. OIP sustained minimal damage. The SUV was driven away from the scene.
