SUNBURY - Libby Meadow, CRNP, a nurse practitioner with Central Penn Women's Health Care, P.C., Sunbury, recently attended the Contraceptive Technology Conference in Boston, Mass. The conference was presented by leaders in the field of women's health.

The most recent information and changes in the diverse areas of women's health were discussed. The latest innovations in birth control and reproductive technology, health screenings, sexually transmitted infections, as well as cancer detection, menopausal symptoms management, and treating urinary incontinence and obesity in women were featured topics of the program. New breast and cervical cancer screening guidelines and their impact on women's health were discussed and debated. Navigating patients through the Affordable Care Act was a primary focus. The conference was attended by health care professionals from across the country.
