Route 147 open to traffic

UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - Both lanes of Route 147 just south of Sunbury is now open to traffic, according to state police at Stonington. The road was closed for several hours following an afternoon crash involving three vehicles that sent eight people to the hospital, two by LifeFlight. Names and conditions of those involved in the crash have not been released by officials. Check www.newsitem.com for regular updates.
