SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - State police are investigating a burglary at an Irish Valley home in which they said a female was temporarily restrained, but nothing was taken.

Trooper Nicholas Berger reported Monday that the incident occurred about 6 a.m. Friday when a white man entered the residence without permission. Police said the burglary was thwarted by the victim being home, and that the suspect temporarily restrained the victim, who they said was a 50-year-old white female.

The actor fled without taking anything.

The victim's name and address were not provided.

The victim did not need medical treatment, police said.

Their investigation continues.
