Paintball shooting

PACKERS ISLAND - Two Northumberland males, ages 16 and 17, have been charged by Cpl. George Ritchey of state police at Stonington with carrying an assembled paintball gun in a vehicle and unlawful discharge of a paintball gun relating to a disturbance that occurred at 7:43 p.m. Sunday on Packers Island along Route 147 in Upper Augusta Township.

Police reported Ricky Leon Burgess, 18, of Sunbury, was riding his bicycle along Route 147 when he was shot with a paintball. The juveniles fled the area in an aqua F-250 truck that was later stopped by state police.


ZERBE TOWNSHIP - A 12-year-old Trevorton female reported to state police at Stonington that a 14-year-old female from Trevorton harassed her numerous times between Feb. 12 and Feb. 25 in various locations, but no charges will be filed in connection with the incidents.

Minor accident

COAL TOWNSHIP - Police here reported Ann Pincoski, 95, of 1465 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township, escaped injury in a minor, one-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon near her home.

Police said Pincoski was parking her vehicle at about 2:30 p.m. when the vehicle mounted a pavement and continued east before becoming stuck between a fence and tree. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Zlocki's Towing Service.


ZERBE TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington cited Paul Young, 35, of Arch Street, Sunbury, with harassment following a domestic incident at 3:10 p.m. Sunday on Steven Street, Zerbe Township.

Police say Young pushed, punched, kicked and struck a 24-year-old female with a motorcycle helmet during the incident. No injuries were reported.

Hit and run

COAL TOWNSHIP - Ruth Heffner, of 1134 W. Montgomery St., Coal Township, reported someone caused minor damage to the rear driver's side bumper on her 2008 Toyota Rav 4 while it was parked in a lot at the Anthra Plaza between 2:15 and 3 p.m. Thursday.

Vehicle vandalized

COAL TOWNSHIP - William Patrick, 63, of 1518 W. Chestnut St., Coal Township, reported someone scratched and dented the hood on his 2000 Ford Explorer while it was parked in front of his residence between late Friday night and early Saturday morning.


SHAMOKIN - James Moore, 27, of 914 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Raymond Siko II for harassment for allegedly shoving Clayton Crews, 23, of 912 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, in the chest on Crews' front porch at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Criminal mischief

COAL TOWNSHIP - Robert Knoeppel, 35, of 715 N. Vine St., Shamokin, reported someone damaged a door on his garage in the 1200 block of West Water Street between 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Retail theft

SHAMOKIN - Geoffrey Koser, 25, of Beavertown, was charged by Patrolman William Zalinski with retail theft for allegedly damaging the packaging of several items offered for sale at Rite Aid Pharmacy on Jan. 13.

Drug charges

SHAMOKIN - Christopher A. Bateman, 30, of 1219 W. Independence St., Coal Township, was charged by Cpl. Darwin Tobias III with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a Feb. 14 incident at 22 N. Market St., Apt. 1, Shamokin.

Police said Bateman possessed a small amount of marijuana in a small, clear Ziplock bag.

Indecent exposure

SHAMOKIN - Douglas Ebright, 47, of 304 S. Pearl St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with two counts of indecent exposure and one count of open lewdness and harassment.

Ebright is accused of exposing himself to a female while standing in the 400 block of South Vine Street at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Simple assault

SHAMOKIN - Edward J. Cerklefskie, 26, of 322 S. Pearl St., Shamokin, has been charged by Cpl. Darwin Tobias III with simple assault and harassment relating to a disturbance shortly after 3 a.m. Friday at 715 N. Pearl St., Shamokin.

Cerklefskie is accused of punching Jessica Haupt three times in the forehead, causing injury.
