MOUNT CARMEL - Patrolman Jason Drumheller has cited a 15-year-old male for harassment relating to a domestic disturbance at 6:45 a.m. March 25 at a residence on South Apple Street.
Police reported the juvenile kicked and shoved his mother and kicked her mother's friend in the face.
Officer Kevin Katch assisted at the scene of the disturbance.
MOUNT CARMEL - Patrolman Jason Drumheller cited Jean Konopacki, 63, of 204 S. Oak St., Mount Carmel, for retail theft for attempting to steal two packs of jewelry from the Dollar General store on South Market Street at 5:45 p.m. Saturday.
LITTLE MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - Two teens from West Cameron Township suffered injuries in a one-car crash Wednesday morning on Route 225 near Hillcrest Drive and were transported to area hospitals.
State police at Stonington reported Alexander J. Karlovich, 17, was traveling south in a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta shortly after 7 a.m. when he reportedly swerved his car to miss a deer on the road. Karlovich lost control of his auto, which spun clockwise and traveled off the west side of the road, where it struck a wooden sign with its left front side. The car continued south before striking a piece of a vehicle that was sitting in a yard listed for sale. Upon impact with the piece of the vehicle, Karlovich's auto spun approximately 90 degrees and rolled onto its left side before coming to rest.
Police said Karlovich and his passenger, Christine D. Tyson, 17, who were both wearing their seat belts, were transported by Trevorton and Dalmatia ambulances to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville and Shamokin Area Community Hospital, where they underwent emergency room treatment before being released.
Karlovich was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
SHAMOKIN - Patrolman Jarrod Scandle has cited Richard A. Armstrong II, 30, and Timothy A. Smith, 19, both of 125 E. Arch St., Shamokin, for retail theft relating to incidents that occurred at Turkey Hill Minit Market on Lincoln Street.
Armstrong is accused of stealing a pack of doughnuts from the store on Jan. 12, while Smith is charged with stealing a pack of cigarettes on March 11.
SHAMOKIN - A charge of disorderly conduct filed by Patrolman Nathan Rhodes against Michael Hughes, 30, of 1705 W. Lynn St., Coal Township, was dismissed Monday during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III.
Hughes was charged in connection with a Dec. 4 fight at Second and Water streets.
TREVORTON - Bret W. Lebo, 19, of 900 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, and Griffin T. Long, 19, of 524 W. Market St., Trevorton, have been charged by Trooper Dennis Tatar with possession of a small amount of marijuana involving an April 2 incident on state game lands near First and Mountain streets in Trevorton.
MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Kyle W. Patrick, 27, of 113 N. Locust St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Patrolman Kelly Campbell with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and failure to drive in a single lane involving a March 8 incident on Route 901 between Excelsior and Locust Gap.
Police reported Patrick was driving while under the influence of clonazepam, 7-amino clonazepam and alprazolam.
BERRYSBURG - An Elizabethville area man suffered minor injuries when the horse and buggy he was operating was struck from behind by a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta along Route 25 near here at 10 p.m. Wednesday.
State police at Lykens said Amos King, 42, was driving the buggy west when Curtis J. Horning, 35, of Herndon, encountered the buggy and struck it from behind.
Police said Horning, who was not injured, will be cited for driving at unsafe speeds.
King's buggy suffered major damage, and the Jetta was disabled and towed from the scene.
