MOUNT CARMEL - The regular meeting of the Paulinarians was held Aug. 10. President Arlene Terry presided over the meeting. The Senior Adult Ministry Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance were recited by all present. Five members had birthdays in August. The birthday song was sung by all.

The secretary's report was read by Rose Kuznicki, and the treasurer's report was given by Norman Basso. Both reports were approved as read.

The annual Senior Adult Ministry banquet and Mass will be held Sunday, Oct. 10 at the Cardinal Keeler Center in Harrisburg. This year, the SAM Council is paying for the bus to Harrisburg for the Northern Region. The price of the bus trip is $4.

Guest speaker was Mary Barrett, an expert on pharmacy co-pay. She works for the county as a troubleshooter on insurance and is well acquainted both state and federal programs.

The dessert at the meeting, donuts, were provided by the club.

The next meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16. Reservations for the meal - lasagna, garlic bread and tossed salad - are being taken by Terry at 339-2586 and should be made before Sept. 14. The food committee for the September dinner includes Terry, Tish Shinskie, Jean Dowling and Pauline Dunn. There will be no hostess, but a cake will be provided.

Meetings are now held in Divine Mercy Hall, the basement of the former St. Peter's Church.
