Organization News: Rainbow Club
COAL TOWNSHIP - Our Lady of Hope Ministry Rainbow Club met at the church hall for its June meeting and plan for a covered dish picnic holiday at the church hall in July. Members are asked to bring a favorite dish.
Ruth Romanoskie, president, opened the meeting with the Ministry Prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the "Over 50" song.
Birthdays for the month were read followed by applause. Birthday celebrants provided the refreshments.
Dolly Yocum, secretary, read the minutes. Romanoskie approved them and they were filed as read.
Florence Verano, treasurer, read the financial report of the club and of the Travel Club. Seats are still available for some shows. Call Florence Verano at 570-648-0949 for more information.
The July 10 trip will be to Hunterdon Hills Playhouse to see "Better with a Band." Dinner will be served at the playhouse. The bus departs at 8 a.m.
The Aug. 14 play will be at the Dutch Apple Theater to see "Hairspray." The Sept. 18 show has been changed to "Mame" at the Allenberry Playhouse. The Christmas show, "It's a Wonderful Life," will be Nov. 13 at the Dutch Apple Theater.
Prayers were said for Marilyn Ruback and Joe Dobson. Members welcomed back Donna Mordan, who is recovering.
The attendance award was won by Mortan. Winners of the 50/50 were Liz Reebrish, Joan Tumolo and Pat Kroh. Bingo was played and Yocum was the caller.
Romanoskie closed the meeting with a poem, "Little Things," and the Lord's Prayer.
