COAL TOWNSHIP - Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School will host an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. Faculty on all grade levels from pre-K through 12th grade will be available to discuss educational opportunities with parents and students.

The open house is an opportunity for families and students to tour the school and gather information. Registration packets for the 2014-15 school year will be available.

At 1 p.m. in the cafeteria, there will be an information session on the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). This past school year, more than $250,000 in tuition scholarships was given to Lourdes students.

Parents of students who are entering pre-K or kindergarten are invited to meet with teachers and obtain registration materials. Special days of registration for these grades will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 5, 6, and 7 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the school.

Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School is strongly committed to academic excellence and to the preparation of students to assume their roles as productive members of society, school officials said.

In addition to spiritual formation, this preparation encompasses the students' intellectual, personal, social and physical development. The academic curriculum os designed to provide a challenging environment for studentsin every grade. Lourdes offers numerous extracurricular and athletic opportunities on the elementary, junior high and high school levels.
