Topic is Native American artifacts
SUNBURY - Lifelong Selinsgrove resident Tom Badman will be the featured speaker at the Northumberland County Historical Society, 1150 N. Front St., at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21.
Badman, who will present "Native American Artifacts of the Susquehanna River Valley, Mementos of a Vanished People," has been interested in all aspects of history since childhood, always believing that history is more than dates, facts and events. He will share his research of the native peoples of Pennsylvania, particularly those who settled in the Susquehanna River Valley.
For years he has collected artifacts found along the river and treats each piece as a tangible link to the past.
The free program is open to the public. A reception will follow the presentation.
